The Shenzhen Hospital Accreditation Research Center (hereafter referred to as "the Center") was officially registered and established on December 16, 2020 in accordance with the Provisions of the Ministry of Civil Affairs on the Registration and Administration of Private Non-enterprise Units. It is an independent non-profit third-party hospital accreditation and evaluation organization under the guidance from the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission.
The Center is committed to establishing a hospital evaluation and accreditation system in line with international standards. Its main businesses include: formulating the hospital accreditation and evaluation standards and survey plans, setting up a surveyor team; conducting hospital accreditation surveys and the corresponding training; conducting hospital accreditation and evaluation research and technical and academic exchanges; and promoting new technologies, methods and projects related to hospital management.
The Center adopts the "director accountability system" under the leadership of the Governing Board, which is the highest decision-making body. The Board consists of 11 directors and one supervisor, who are responsible to ensure the business activities of the Center are conducted in accordance with the laws and regulations. The Center establishes an Administration Department, Standard Management Department and Survey Management Department which are responsible for daily operation. It also sets up an Experts Committee, Standards Committee and Accreditation and Awards Committee to provide professional advice on all matters related to hospital accreditation.
The Center's Vision: To develop Hospital Accreditation Standards in line with international standards, implement internationalized hospital accreditation methods, and promote the internationalization of hospital accreditation in China.
The Center's Mission: To strive for the establishment of an internationalized hospital accreditation system, promote the cross-border connectivity of healthcare services, and enhance the promotion and the development of modern high-quality healthcare services.
